PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventionally a user cannot instruct not to include characters representing unique information such as date and time or reception number in a file name of an image file.SOLUTION: The document reader accepts an instruction not to set characters representing unique information to a file name of image data generated by reading a document image. When an instruction not to set characters representing unique information is accepted, a filename not including characters representing unique information is set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
