PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for inspecting a cloth piece capable of precisely inspecting a cloth piece even when a fabric is deteriorated or color of patterns is faded in the cloth piece having colored patterns.SOLUTION: A method for inspecting a cloth piece comprises: comparing a cloth piece image D which is a picked-up image of a cloth piece C with a template data T using a hue angle &thetas; as an index; and extracting a pattern portion in the image of the cloth piece. The patterns in the image of the cloth piece can be extracted without being influenced by color-fading of the patterns. Since the fabric portion is removed, the influence of degradation of whiteness due to the deterioration of the fabric can be also removed. Accordingly, the pattern portion can be precisely extracted, even when the fabric is deteriorated or color of patterns is faded, the cloth piece can be precisely inspected. |
