PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record an image with reduced tie lines. SOLUTION: The width of tie lines is shortened so as to make the tie lines inconspicuous by dividing a printing area into first to fourth printing areas, completing recording of the second and fourth recording areas by first and second scanning of a recording head, and completing recording of the first and third recording areas by third and fourth scanning.
