PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement of image quality by preventing non-uniformity in the quantity of light from being conspicuous in a mixed-color image, the non-uniformity in the quantity of light locally appearing because of dispersion in the packaging accuracy of a light emitting element. SOLUTION: The number of screen lines is made different from each other while maintaining a screen angle, thereby having an angle where an overlapping position of two colors is a little tilted from a sub-scanning direction. Furthermore, in one of screens in a plurality of colors, the number of screen lines is changed by deviating the screen for a minimum unit of a main scanning or sub-scanning direction resolution with respect to a screen of which the screen angle is symmetrical in the sub-scanning direction.
