<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately grasping the life of a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A flag is erected when the holding state of image data stored in an image memory is detected and the deleting of the image data is detected while power supply to the image memory is performed by the secondary battery. In addition, when the power supply is resumed by PSU, if an output cell is high, a count number storing area of an undeleted state is counted up. If the output cell is low, further checking whether or not the flag is erected, and if the flag is erected, the count number storing area of a deleted state is counted up. Furthermore, if the value, obtained by adding the number of time which is counted in the count number storing area of an undeleted state and the number obtained by performing n-multiplication of the number of time which is counted in the count number storing area of a deleted state, reaches to the threshold value, the exchange message of the secondary battery is notified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
