PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint capable of preventing an internal component from getting out of an outer ring even when the internal component axially slides in a sub-assembly state with the axial slide width of the internal component in the outer ring ensured. SOLUTION: A mounting groove 3b is formed at an in-side end of a track groove 3a of an inner ring 3, and a circlip 6 is fitted to the mounting groove 3b. In fitting, after a sub-assembly of this constant velocity universal joint is assembled, the internal component 1 is slightly drawn to the in-side, and thereafter the circlip 6 is plunged from the in-side. The circlip 6 interferes with a ball 4 in the sliding out in the sub-assembly state of the internal component 1 composed of the inner ring 3, the ball 4 and a cage 5 to restrict the movement of the ball 4 to the in-side of the inner ring 3 and to restrict the sliding out of the internal component 1.
