PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extendnd a dynamic range in a pixel structure where an accumulation unit for temporarily accumulating electric charges accumulated in a photo-electric conversion element is shared for a plurality of pixels. SOLUTION: In the photo-electric conversion device 101, a control unit 14 performs control in first operation for discharging surplus electric charges to a floating diffusion FD in a case where the amount of accumulated charges in a first photo-diode PD 1 exceeds a saturation charge amount, and performs control in second operation for discharging the surplus electric charges to an electric charge discharging area in a case where the amount of accumulated charges in a second photo-diode PD 2 exceeds the saturation charge amount.
