<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing device using a small number of electromagnets for stably supporting a rotor having a flywheel, resulting in the shorter rotor to be rotated at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic bearing device, the rotor 10 having the flywheel 11 at least part of which is disc-shaped is supported in no contact with the electromagnets 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d, 17e, 17f in the axial and radial directions. The pairs of electromagnets for attracting a disc-shaped portion in the axial direction while holding the disc-shaped portion of the flywheel 11 between both axial sides are arranged set by set at three positions at equal spaces in the circumferential direction. On both end faces of the disc-shaped portion, annular protrusions 15, 16 are formed in opposition to magnetic poles 21a, 21b of the electromagnets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
