PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a redundant system by providing first and second protruding magnetic poles for opposite locations in the inner surface of a ring-like stator, opposing third and fourth protruding magnetic poles to them provided for the outer surface of a rotor to form a pair of channel sensors, and using each output signal. SOLUTION: In a redundant rotary finite angle detector, the first and second protruding magnetic poles (2, 2A) symmetrically arranged in the inner surface of the ring-like stator (1) and the third and fourth protruding magnetic poles (10, 10A) opposed to them in the outer surface of the rotor (4) form the first and second channel sensors (20, 30).
