The medical syringe (1) has a syringe cylinder made of plastic, where a reversibly sealed discharge opening is provided at the front of the syringe cylinder. A piston is arranged in the cylinder. The syringe is assigned a blocking element designed as a separate component for preventing the piston from squeezing out by temperatures over the boiling point of an aqueous medium. An independent claim is included for a blocking element, particularly syringe stabilizer for a medical syringe.
