The invention relates to a ventilation system (10, 50) comprising a line system (12, 52) which is designed to guide an air stream (14, 54) and to provide the air stream (14, 54) during normal operation (N) via an outlet (16, 56) of the line system (12, 52) for supplying a space (18, 58), wherein the ventilation system (10, 50) comprises a generating unit (34, 66, 100, 170) which is designed to produce reactive oxygen species during a cleaning operation (R) and to feed the same to the air stream (14, 54) conducted in the line system (12, 52). The invention further relates to the use of such a ventilation system (10, 50) for ventilating or air-conditioning a room of a building or an interior of a closed device, a method for operating such a ventilation system (10, 50) and a generating unit (34, 66, 100, 170) for such a ventilation system (10, 50). |
