PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of suppressing the deposition of a substance deriving from a charge carrier by having a coating in more preferable embodiment on the surface of an anode active material.SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with an anode 84 having an anode mixture layer 86 including an anode active material, and the anode active material having a coating containing at least boron and sodium is formed on its surface. Between the anode 84 and a separator base material 94 is disposed a heat-resistant layer 96. A porosity A of the anode mixture layer 86, a porosity B of the heat-resistant layer 96 adjacent to the anode mixture layer 86, and a porosity C of the separator base material 94 adjacent to the heat-resistant layer 96 and not adjacent to the anode mixture layer 86 satisfy the conditions: (1) C<A<B; (2) B/A>1.1; (3) B/C>1.2. Furthermore, an increase rate of resistance under a prescribed condition is 10% or less. |
