PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system that adjusts the degree of contamination of a plurality of grid electrodes having different aperture ratios respectively corresponding to a plurality of charging devices.SOLUTION: An exhaust system is for exhausting a gas including ozone from a first charging device and a second charging device of an image forming apparatus, the first charging device including a first discharge electrode discharging to a first photoreceptor drum and a first grid electrode controlling a charge potential distribution of the first photoreceptor drum resulting from the discharge, and the second charging device including a second grid electrode controlling a charge potential distribution of a second photoreceptor drum resulting from the discharge. The exhaust system comprises a mechanism that adjusts the speed of the gas flowing through the first grid electrode and the speed of the gas flowing through the second grid electrode so that the degree of contamination of the first grid electrode and the degree of contamination of the second grid are in a predetermined relationship according to the aperture ratio of the first grid electrode and the aperture ratio of the second grid electrode that is different from the aperture ratio of the first grid electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
