PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating eelgrass beds by using dredged earth and sand and steelmaking slag.SOLUTION: In the method for creating eelgrass bed, modified soil that has a hardness of 20 kPa to 500 kPa is obtained by mixing a solidification promoting agent that elutes a calcium ions, into dredged earth and sand, and is laid on the sea bottom to raise seaweeds. The modified soil facilitates creation of eelgrass beds by the hardness controlled to be suitable for eelgrass to grow, thereby promoting germination of eelgrass and then growth. |
