PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing fence capable of effectively absorbing large impact force by increasing elastic deformation quantity. SOLUTION: A plural number of supports 2, 2 are provided with specified intervals between them, horizontal rope materials 3 are provided between the supports 2, 2, and a net body 6 is put up between the supports 2, 2 to cover all of them. Cushioning rings 5 having elasticity are provided in the middle of the horizontal rope materials 3. Consequently, when impact force by a falling rock, etc., is applied, tensile force works on the horizontal rope material 3, the cushioning ring 3 causes elastic deformation and plastic deformation by this tensile force, and consequently, it is possible to effectively absorb impact energy.
