PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for a cord-shaped object and a cord-shaped object use vessel and a work bench utilizing the cutter capable of packing an article easily in a short time with good workability. SOLUTION: A constitution of this cutter comprises a turn part 1 turned with a support shaft 2 mounted in a case 3 serving as the center, an elastic unit 6 regulating turning of the turn part 1, and a blade 4 mounted in the case 3 or the turn part 1. A cord-shaped object passes through between the turn part 1 and an inner surface of the case 3, the turn part 1 is turned in the same direction to a rotational direction of the cord-shaped object to interpose its another part between the turn part 1 and the inner surface of the case 3 by rotating partly the passing cord-shaped object to a side of the turn part 1 to cut the passing cord-shaped object by abutting the blade 4 by further partly rotating the passing cord-shaped object. Then the turn part 1 is turned in a reverse direction by elastic force of the elastic unit 6, to be reset to a condition before cutting of the cord-shaped object.
