PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the preparation for use and housing in a short time by constituting a loading device for lifting a wall material, floor material or tool to the second floor or the like in a construction site in such a manner as to be operable from the housing state where an upper body and a lower body are folded in parallel to each other to the state where the lower body is extended downward in a single operation. SOLUTION: When a loading device 1 is extended from housing state to using state an upper body 2 is stood against a vertical part such as column so as to make contact with it, and a lower body 3 is extended in the arrowed direction B and horizontally laid on the ground. The upper body 2 is lifted up in this state to bring the upper body 2 into contact with the second floor part of a building, rubber feet 3f are grounded to set the upper body 2 and the lower body 3 in substantially linear state, and the lever 91 of a connecting mechanism 9 is operated to the lower body 3 side. A curved link, a fixed link and the upper body 3 are then slid in the thickness direction, a projection is engaged with a cutout part when the upper body 2 is laid in the substantially linear state to the lower body 3, and the both 2, 3 are held in the linear state.
