PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod using a solid rod member enabling the related parts to be mounted on the outside showing smart appearances while keeping the strength of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: This fishing rod made of a solid rod member, which has a fiber-reinforced resin on at least a surface portion of a predetermined section of a rod member 12, is obtained by forming a concave portion 12K on the surface of the solid rod member, fixing any part 12G to the concave portion 12K and forming a cylindrical body 12E which covers the whole periphery of at least a part of the concave portion 12K through the part or another part.
