PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle control device of simplified constitution, capable of preparing optional torque curves. SOLUTION: In addition to a first throttle valve 4 the opening of which is controlled by an accelerator pedal 3, a second throttle valve 7 is provided in an intake passage 2. An intake pressure sensor 9 for detecting the pressure of the intake passage 2 in the downstream of both the throttle valves 4, 7, and an engine speed sensor 8 for detecting the engine speed of an engine 1, are provided. By providing a control circuit 5 for variable-controlling the opening of the second throttle valve 7 through a driving device 6 so that an actual intake pressure calculated based on output signals of the intake pressure sensor 9 coincides with the optimum intake pressure corresponding to the engine speed calculated based on signals outputted from the engine speed sensor 8, optional torque curves can be prepared, and troubles due to over speed can be avoided.
