PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intra-prediction decoding device for generating or restoring a prediction block near to an original picture to restore an encoded picture having a high compression efficiency.SOLUTION: In a video decoding device, in an intra prediction mode between an intra prediction mode (A mode) in a 45° direction with respect to a horizontal reference and a horizontal mode (B mode), a reference pixel is filtered according to a prediction block size, filtering is applied to the reference pixel in the A mode, and no filtering is applied to the reference pixel in the B mode. The first direction mode and the second direction mode are located between the B mode and the A mode. When the filtering is applied to the reference pixel in the second direction mode, the filtering is also applied to the reference pixel in the first direction mode closer to the A mode than the second direction mode. When the conversion size is 8×8, a scan determined by the intra prediction mode is applied to a quantized residual coefficient to restore a plurality of subsets, and a scan determined by the intra prediction mode is applied to the subset to restore the quantization block.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
