PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a virtual carrier into a conventional OFDM host carrier in a communication system.SOLUTION: In a communication resource allocation method for an OFDM radio communication system which performs data communication by using a plurality of OFDM subcarriers, transmission resources provided by a first group of a plurality of OFDM subcarriers in a first frequency band are allocated to a first type terminal, and transmission resources provided by a second group of a plurality of OFDM subcarriers in a second frequency band are allocated to a second type terminal. The second group is smaller than the first group, and the second frequency band is in the first frequency band. Control information having resource allocation information with respect to the first type terminal is transmitted in a first bandwidth 300 equivalent to the first and second groups of combined OFDM subcarriers. Control information 502 having resource allocation information with respect to a second type terminal is transmitted in a second bandwidth equivalent to a second group of the OFDM subcarrier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
