<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel imido oligomer with an alcoholic hydroxyl end group which is superior in heat resistance and also improved in solubility in an organic solvent or compatibility with other resins. <P>SOLUTION: The imido oligomer with an alcoholic hydroxyl end group has a chemical structure as shown in chemical formula 1.
