<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a vacuum cleaner, which is improved in suction performance by optimally controlling a frequency of an electric blower without detecting load current of the electric blower and improved in motor life span by being protected from failures caused by overheating the motor. <P>SOLUTION: In a vacuum cleaner controlled by an inverter, which is provided with an electric blower 2 carrying a brushless DC motor 15, an inverter part 14 which drives the electric blower 2, a PWM driving means 16 which makes PWM control of the inverter part 14, a magnetic pole position detecting means 17 which detects a rotor pole position of the brushless DC motor 15 and a control means 18 which calculates the frequency of the electric blower 2 through output of the pole position detecting means 17 and controls the PWM driving means 16 so that the frequency of the electric blower 2 can stay constant, air flow of the vacuum cleaner is calculated from duty ratio of the PWM control and the electric blower 2 is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
