PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for a magnetic head for eliminating things whose signal waveform shapes are not stable due to changes in parameter of magnetic recording/reproduction of an HDD magnetic head and improving manufacturing yield of the HDD. SOLUTION: A process S100 for writing a first test signal, a process S101 for measuring a signal asymmetry ratio, a process S103 for changing the recording current value of a second test signal, the frequency of recording current of the second test signal, and the bias current value of a magnetoresistance effect type head 1b several times, and a process S104 for repeating the process S102 and the process S103 several times are executed. Thus, output signals of the magnetic head whose waveform shapes are not stable can be eliminated, manufacturing yield of the HDD can be improved, and reliability of the HDD can be secured.
