<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a uniform water-holding and drainage properties of a membrane-electrode assembly of each of the cells of a fuel battery. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery is provided with an electrolyte, a pair of electrodes arranged at either side of the electrolyte, a pair of diffusion layers arranged outside the pair of electrodes, and a pair of separators arranged outside the pair of diffusion layers. At least one of the pair of diffusion layers is provided with a plate-like member, having a plurality of pores making reaction gas pass and diffuse through the reaction gas to each electrode, and linear members embedded in the plate-like member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
