PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically winding a roving in a roving frame, which improves the success rate of automatic winding compared to a conventional one. SOLUTION: The roving frame is so constructed that a flyer driving system and a winding driving system are drivable independently of a draft device, and a roving is wound using a bobbin furnished with a hook-and-loop fastener for fastening a roving end (roving end-fastening part), wherein in a state where the draft device is in a halt, the flyer driving system and the winding driving system are reversely driven to bring the end of the roving held by a pressor into contact with the hook-and-loop fastener of the bobbin. The draft device is then driven to deliver and wind the roving. Thereafter, all of the driving systems are put to a halt, and then shifted to a spinning operation mode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
