PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tungsten oxide nanosheet having a nanosize in the sheet cross-section direction and a bulk size in the sheet planar direction, a method of manufacturing the same and an element using the same. SOLUTION: The tungsten oxide nanosheet has a 2D-pyrochlore structure. More concretely, the 2D-pyrochlore structure of the tungsten oxide nanosheet is a structure that a six-membered ring structure composed of a metal-oxygen octahedron is regularly arranged respectively in the sheet planar direction and the sheet cross-sectional direction orthogonal to the sheet plane direction.
