PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device excellent in safety capable of extinguishing a fire and preventing the fire from spreading to a device body without spreading the fire on a paper discharge tray and impairing handling of the paper and operability. SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with a paper collecting device 280 capable of collecting the paper output on a paper discharge tray 261. The paper collecting device 280 is equipped with a temperature detection means 281 for detecting the temperature rise near the paper discharge tray 261, a collecting container 282 which is disposed under the paper discharge tray 261 and can collect the paper, and a paper collecting means 283 for dropping the paper on the discharge tray 261 in the collecting container 282. The paper collecting means is characterized in that the discharge tray 261 is inclined so that the paper on the discharge tray 261 drops in the collecting container 282 when the temperature rise near the discharge tray 261 is detected by the temperature detection means 281.
