A monofilament yarn set removing apparatus, and method of removing monofilament yarn set, wherein steam blowing application and/or pressure application using a heated flatiron member is carried out to a monofilament yarn with a tension relaxed by given degree as compared with the state of being stretched without any slack so as to remove any monofilament yarn winding set. Thus, any drop of yarn strength occurring at the removing of monofilament yarn winding set by heating can be suppressed.
