Provided is an electromagnetic relay that has high insulation properties. An electromagnetic relay that is provided with a base 10 and with a spool 41 that has a through hole that opens from a ring part 42. In addition, the electromagnetic relay comprises an electromagnet block 40 that is arranged on an upper surface of the base 10, a movable iron piece 60 that rotates on the basis of the excitation/non-excitation of the electromagnet block 40, a movable contact piece that rotates integrally with the movable iron piece 60, a movable contact point 87a that is fixed to a free end of the movable contact piece, and a fixed contact point 23a that is fixed to a fixed contact point terminal 23 and that is arranged so as to contact or to be separated from the movable contact point 87a in association with the rotation of the movable contact piece. In particular, insulating ribs 72, 46 are respectively provided to an inward facing surface of a spacer 70 that is integrated with the movable iron piece 60 and to an outward facing surface of the ring part 41 so as to protrude in such a way as to cut off the shortest straight line that connects the fixed contact point 23a or the fixed contact point terminal 23 and a magnetic pole part 53 that is one end part of an iron core that protrudes from the through hole. |
