The invention relates to a device for loading a fibre web. For this purpose, a fluid is flowed through the fibre web. This through-flow is to be carried out in such a way that the loading is carried out as effectively as possible, and that the fibre web is not destroyed during loading. A high loading is achieved by means of a high flow speed of the fluid in the fibre web. According to the invention, the fibre web is supported by a sieve belt for receiving the high forces on the fibre web caused by the high speed of the fluid. In this way, the fibre web itself should receive only a low portion of the forces, and is thereby not destroyed during loading. By means of a device of this type, a particularly effective production of an electret material from a meltblown fleece is possible, which material is particularly suitable for use as a filter material. The production of filters with high filtration performance with low pressure loss is possible with meltblown fleeces of this type.
