The invention relates to a synthetic gas purification method including at least one step of fractionating the raw synthetic gas to be treated into at least two effluents, a first part and a complementary part, wherein said first part is subjected to a step of converting the carbon monoxide into vapor and said complementary part is subjected to a step of catalytically hydrolyzing COS and HCN. Both resulting gas flows are each then separately treated during two dedicated steps for removing the acidic gases, such as CO
