Provided are a method and apparatus for restricting a usage area of a mobile terminal, and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: cell identification information about a cell network that covers a current location of a mobile terminal can be acquired; and when cell identification information that matches locking identification information exists in the acquired cell identification information, the mobile terminal accesses the cell network corresponding to the locking identification information, otherwise, the mobile terminal does not access a wireless communication network. In the present invention, cell network access of a mobile terminal is controlled by comparing cell identification information about a cell network of a current location and locking identification information. Since a cell is smaller than an area corresponding to a location area code, in the present invention, a usage range of a mobile terminal can be restricted more precisely. |
