In this map display control device, a display processing unit 12 in a map display device 20 causes a map based on map information to be displayed on a display device 22. A priority object setting unit 15 determines a priority object that has a high priority among the objects included in the map. A scroll processing unit 14 causes the map that is displayed on the display device 22 to scroll in accordance with a scroll operation by a user. When a priority object is present outside of the map displayed on the display device 22, an operation sensitivity control unit 16 causes the operation sensitivity that is applied to a scroll operation to have directionality so that the operation sensitivity of the scroll operation differs when the map is made to scroll toward the priority object versus when the map is made to scroll toward other directions.
