Cracking of amorphous carbon-coated graphite is minimized and high-temperature lifespan characteristics are improved by using a secondary-cell negative electrode obtained by press-molding, as a negative electrode active material, a mixture obtained by mixing an amorphous carbon-coated graphite active material A, in which the density after pelletization from application of a pressure of 2 kN/cm2 is 1.50 g/cm3 or lower, and a carbon-based active material B, in which the above density is 1.65 g/cm3 or higher, so that the mass ratio of A:B is 90:10 to 99:1. |
