Disclosed is an apparatus and method for controlling a smart plug using a beacon. A smart plug control apparatus according to an embodiment may comprise: a beacon signal detection unit for detecting a beacon signal in order to access a home energy management system; an authentication unit for performing authentication of the smart plug control apparatus when the beacon signal is detected; and a control unit for transmitting a control signal for a smart plug to a beacon so as to control the smart plug, when the authentication is successful. |
