PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine that enables an operator move his body readily in a comfortable posture on a ground, toward an object of maintenance work located above and on a side surface side of the machine body, along with a handrail on the side surface of the machine body that may be used while a side surface cover is closed.SOLUTION: An open hole part 14 is formed that pierces through a front surface 12a and a rear surface 12b of a side surface cover 12 provided openably on a side surface of a machine body. A handrail 17 is fitted on a guard column 16 erected on an upper frame 11 inside the side surface cover 12. The handrail 17 is extended in a forward direction of the machine body from a fixing part 17c fixed on the guard column 16, is bent outward of the machine body at a bent part 17b, and a grip 17a is formed at a bent tip. The grip 17a is exposed on the front surface 12a side of the side surface cover 12 from the open hole part 14, while keeping the side surface cover 12 closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
