PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method that enables demolishing and construction to be performed simultaneously, and as a result curtails the construction period, reduces costs, an amount of transported goods, environmental loads and wastes, at the same time enhancing safety and efficiency of the work.SOLUTION: In a construction method for rebuilding in which an existing building is rebuilt sequentially from a lower floor to an upper floor, the following steps are performed in sequence: supporting a specified two floors (an n-th floor and an n+1-th floor) of an existing building by a temporary support post with a jack; demolishing columns on the n-th floor and the n+1-th floor; jacking down an existing floor of the n+1-th floor to a prescribed level; erecting a column on the n-th floor, and erecting new floor and beam of the n+1-th floor on the existing floor of the n+1-th floor; installing a temporary support post for supporting an n+2-th floor on the new floor of the n+1-th floor; demolishing the existing floor of the n+1-th floor, and removing the temporary support post with a jack on the n-th floor; then, supporting the existing n+2-th floor with a temporary support post with a jack, removing a temporary support post on the n+1-th floor, and demolishing a column on the n+2-th floor.
