PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire capable of improving color fastness and appearance of a tire while maintaining or improving good low fuel consumption and abrasion resistance, and a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition for tire containing a rubber component, a non-ionic surfactant having a structure of the formula (1) having a hydrophilic group constituted by an ethylene oxide structure in both sides of a hydrophobic group constituted by a propylene oxide structure and sulfur with the total content of carbon black and silica of 20 to 140 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component.
