PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive composition having improved weathering resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance by using an alicyclic polyisocyanate compound prepared from a dialkyl carbonate prepared by using substantially no phosgene in the course of the process and an alicyclic polyamine. SOLUTION: The alicyclic polyisocyanate compound is represented by formula I. The alicyclic polyamine is represented by formula II. In formulae I and II, Y1 is a divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group. The alicyclic polyisocyanate compound is substantially free from a chlorine compound derived from phosgene and therefore exerts very little an adverse effect of a chlorine compound on properties. Dimethyl carbonate made from carbon monoxide and methanol is cheap and is desirable as the dialkyl carbonate. The alicyclic polyisocyanate compound which can be desirably used is exemplified by 3- isocyanatomethyl-5,5-dimethylcyclohexyl isocyanate.
