PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent over-etching of a discharge electrode arranged on a display area by separately preparing a dummy electrode pattern on a non-display area to be abundantly exposed in developing solution in relative terms by utilizing a phenomenon that a part abundantly exposed in developing solution in relative terms is over-etched at a process of developing the discharge electrode. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel is provided with a front substrate and a back substrate facing each other; dielectric barrier ribs arranged between the front substrate and the back substrate, demarcating discharge cells together with the front substrate and the back substrate; a plurality of discharge electrodes (206, 207) separately embedded in the dielectric barrier ribs along the periphery of the discharge cell; dummy electrodes (206b) formed on a contour part of the discharge electrode, etched by the over-etching generated in the process of development; and phosphor layers (214) of red, green, and blur colors applied inside the discharge cells.
