<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a fuel system member such as a fuel injection valve 15 arranged under an intake manifold 16 mounted to a cylinder head 11. <P>SOLUTION: A protector 23 is mounted on the intake manifold 16 and an intake side block side wall 31 of a cylinder block 10 to cover the fuel system member. A protruded block (a protruded part) 25 is protruded from the inside of the protector 23 and opposed to an abutting seat 28 set on the side of the intake manifold 16 via a predetermined gap 29. A fixed boss of the intake side block side wall 31 on which the protector 23 is mounted is integrally connected to a top deck overhung in a flange shape via an upper side rib and integrally connected to a cooling pipe and a housing mounting part via an lower side rib. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
