PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape stripping method and tape stripping equipment in which a tape can be automatically stripped from a ring frame by simple arrangement. SOLUTION: A ring frame 1 on which a tape 2 to which a semiconductor chip 3 is bonded is stuck is set to a table 4. As a breaking-through roller 25 descends to an end of the tape 2, the end is exfoliated from the ring frame 1 and is made contact with a take-up tape 21 whose surface is adhesive. The tape 2 is bonded to the take-up tape 21 and is taken up, while being stripped off from the ring frame 1, so that the tape 2 is automatically stripped from ring frame 1.
