PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the absorbing load of a shift lever device at the time of collision. SOLUTION: An impact absorbing section 10 is constituted of a first supporting section 11 made of resin, a second supporting section 12 made of resin, and a third supporting section 13 made of resin. In this case, the first supporting section 11 made of resin is fixed to the outer periphery of a lever main body 4, and of which the protuberance section 11a for impact absorption is projected from the outer peripheral surface. The second supporting section 12 made of resin is formed of a resin material of which the melting point is lower than that of the first supporting section 11 made of resin, and is closely joined to the outer peripheral surface of the first supporting section 11 made of resin. The third supporting section 13 made of resin is formed of a resin material of which the melting point is higher than that of the second supporting section 12 made of resin, and is welded to the outer peripheral surface of the second supporting section 12 made of resin.
