PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint for preventing the leakage of fluid resulting from the permanent compression set of a seal member. SOLUTION: The pipe joint comprises a joint body 2 having a female portion 21 at the end, and having a down-grade tapered face 22 formed from the terminal end thereof toward the corner side and an annular groove 23 formed in the corner thereof, a pressing ring 3 having a male portion 31 to be screwed into the female portion 21, and the metal seal member 4 having a tapered face 41 to be put in close contact with the tapered portion 22 and formed of a Cu alloy, e.g. When the pressing ring 3 is screwed into the joint body 2, the metal seal member 4 is put in close contact with the outer peripheral face of a connection pipe 10.
