The present invention provides a compact speaker unit having high sound quality. This speaker unit 1 is configured to include a vibration element 20 having at least one opening 20a, a vibration device 30 for coming into contact with the vibration element 20 and applying vibration, and a frame 10 for supporting the vibration element 20. Because the vibration element 20, which is supported by the frame 10 and which vibrates due to the application of vibration by the vibration device 30, has at least one opening 20a, more vibration modes are produced and the frequency characteristics are more moderate than in a vibration element 20 that does not have an opening. This improves the sound quality. |
