PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puffer type gas circuit breaker which improves a cutoff performance.SOLUTION: In a charging container (2) of an arc-extinguishing insulation gas, a main contactor (11) at a side of an operation mechanism and a main contactor (12) at a side opposite to the operation mechanism that can be contacted and separated, and an arc contactor (13) at the side of the operation mechanism and an arc contactor (14) at the side opposite to the operation mechanism that can be contacted and separated are disposed. The arc contactor (13) at the side of the operation mechanism is surrounded by an insulation nozzle (16) and includes a puffer chamber (28) which is surrounded by a cylinder (21) to which the insulation nozzle (16) is fixed, a piston (22) and a hollow rod (17). A piston holding member (25) is disposed around the hollow rod (17), and the piston holding member (25) is fixed to a conductor (4) at the side of the operation mechanism. The piston holding member (25) includes a piston (22) that slides on an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder (21), and a spring (26) is disposed between the piston holding member (25) and the piston (22).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
