PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the number of pixels is increased accompanied with high definition of a display device and thus the number of gate lines and the number of signal lines are increased, and when the number of gate lines and the number of signal lines are increased, it becomes difficult to mount an IC chip having a driver circuit for driving the gate lines and the signal lines by bonding or the like, causing increase in manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A display device comprises a pixel portion and a driver circuit for driving the pixel portion on the same substrate. The pixel portion includes a thin film transistor using an oxide semiconductor. At least a part of a circuit of the driver circuit includes the thin film transistor using the oxide semiconductor. The pixel portion as well as the driver circuit is provided on the same substrate, thereby manufacturing costs are reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
