PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction in spatial correlation in a narrower space in MIMO transmission in an open environment.SOLUTION: The antenna device includes: an antenna element for radiating an electromagnetic wave of a predetermined frequency band; a metamaterial through which the electromagnetic wave transmits with a phase of the electromagnetic wave of the frequency band being rotated; and a metamaterial control section for controlling the metamaterial so that a phase rotation amount for reducing spatial correlation of electromagnetic waves emitted from the antenna device traveling in different routes is added.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
