PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge type security device which notifies the outside of the operation of a discharge generating device and receives the notification with a dedicated receiver so as to detect the operation of the discharge generating device. SOLUTION: The discharge type security device comprises the discharge generating device 1 with a pair of discharge electrodes 2 which discharge when conductors contact; and the dedicated receiver 6 which receives electromagnetic noise accompanied by the operation of the discharge generating device 1, and detects that the discharge generating device 1 has operated when the level of a signal in a predetermined frequency band contained in the electromagnetic noise exceeds a predetermined level value.
